Birds

Birds are feathered animals . Most can fly in the sky with their large wings . They lay eggs to have young . Some are very colorful and like to sing or act silly .

PHEASANTS

Pheasants are beautiful, colorful birds that love to walk in the grass. The male often has a beautiful long tail and very glossy feathers. They are curious and love to peck everywhere!

Lady Amherst's pheasant

A ground-dwelling bird of mountain forests with dense patches of undergrowth. The male has a long, striped tail, a white belly, and black and white scales on its neck. The female is brown with black stripes and gray skin around the eye.

Golden pheasant

Shy and difficult to find in the forests. The male, red and gold, is stunning. The female is distinguished from the common pheasant by her heavily barred plumage and dull pink legs and feet.

Silver pheasant

A large and spectacular pheasant found in forested areas. The male has a long tail and white or silvery-grey upperparts with a black crest, breast, and belly. The female has brown plumage on her upperparts.

PEACOCKS

Peacocks are large, very elegant birds. The male has an enormous, colorful tail that he fans out to show off! They walk with pride and love to display their beautiful feathers.

White peacock

The white peacock is a color mutation of the Indian blue peacock. It can be found in the wild in India. These birds are completely white with blue eyes.

Opal peacock

The opal peacock is characterized by its darker grey neck with reflections resembling the colour of opal gemstones.

HOOKED BEAKS

Hookbills are clever birds with a hook-shaped beak. They love to climb, talk, and laugh. Very playful, they enjoy being talked to and watched.

Rainbow lorikeet

A species very common in Australia. They have extraordinary multicolored plumage, the colors of which can vary depending on the numerous species and subspecies.

The mandarin diamond
